In Other Words

A High Seas Adventure

Well, it's hard to believe, but we're almost at the end of our High Seas Adventure! VBS 2010 wraps up tonight, and with it all the energies and enthusiasm that was put into this great week! After tonight ends, the memories begin.

This year Rochelle Stoltzfus and I saw VBS through the lens of our cameras. I've decided to post the top 10 pictures that I think represent the week that was. After you view them on the left side, I'd encourage you to use the comments section to share what you saw this week. What impacted you? What made you laugh? What made you pray? I'd love to hear it...

This was a great week, filled with lots of smiles and love. When I look back on the week, I see children laughing and feeling comfortable in there surrounding. I saw sharing, caring, joy and interaction among the children and their mentors. I saw the way the staff at GPC, put so much time and energy into this week--it makes me happy to be a part in such wonderful people here at GPC.

There is nothing better than seeing a child excited to learn about God. I pray that these children can go home and share something they learned from the week with their parents, and encourage them to listen and learn with them. Sometimes it takes the child to motivate their parents on a spiritual journey.

Well said Tia! It was certainly a pile of work, but the results make it worth it!

Hope you cleaned the cookie off Isaiah's face by now :-)

I love how much the kids love VBS. Their energy is contagious! When the week began Luke did not remember VBS from last year. He wasn't sure that he really wanted to go to church that first night. It didn't take long for him to catch the excitement and last night he was very sad to hear it was the last night for VBS this year. Thanks to everyone who made it happen!
