Adult Classes

Sunday School was begun years ago by a man concerned with making a social impact on his community through teaching children to read.  Today, we describe it differently, but our Adult classes are focused upon teaching, learning, fellowship and service.  In addition, they are organized around life stages.  The numbers in parenthesis are general age guides only.  Adult classes usually meet Sundays at 9 AM.

Grace Groups

"Sure, there are many fish in the sea...but you're nowhere near the sea...you're in the desert...and you're feeling quite alone."

Grace Groups are small, connected communities of about 8-14 people who meet regularly for study, hang out time, fun and community service.  Friendships that last happen here along with great opportunities to grow and give back to our community.

VBS for Adults - July 18-22

This year, we offer exciting conversation about church and culture as well as a practical mission. "Engaging Culture" is an important topic that many find challenging yet biblical.

We will meet in the high school youth room on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (July 18-20), 6:30-7:30. (Note that the adult class begins 15 minutes before the kids' VBS classes start.) On Sunday evening, Associate Pastor Ric Joline will be joined by Eugene Witmer to discuss some foundational issues about culture. On Monday and Tuesday evenings, Rev. Jim Beerley, Pastor of the International Church of Monaco, will join us in our discussion. Jim will bring his expertise as a veteran pastor who has engaged the culture of Monte Carlo for more than 15 years.

On Wednesday and Thursday (July 21-22) at the same time, we'll move to The Factory Youth Center. Dan Karlow, Executive Director of Youth Advocate Programs of Lancaster County, will be our guest speaker. He will explain his work, introducing the community program generally, as well as discussing specific programs that help at-risk teens. We hope to have many Factory Parents take advantage of this opportunity as well, giving the class members the time for interaction and conversation with parents from our community.
