At Grace Point Church, we believe we are here to be developing fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
If you look carefully, you will notice three parts to the mission statement.
First, we are interested in developing followers of Jesus Christ. This is where our mission statement begins . . . by seeing people turn from wanderers to followers of Jesus Christ, and doing all that we can to pray for that, resource that and innovate in this area.
Secondly, we are developing devoted followers of Jesus Christ. This speaks to discipleship, or training up believers in the basics of the faith. From children through adult, we try to have something for everyone to help them grow in their faith. One of the unique elements of Grace Point Church is that we emphasize that the home is the primary place where the faith is passed on, so, while we do aim for high quality children's ministries, we believe also in resourcing parents to equip them to pass on the faith in their homes.
The final part of our mission reveals that we are interested in developing fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. We try to follow the example of 2 Timothy 2:2 by training leaders to train others. We are always looking for creative ways to shape leaders for the next generation of leadership, believing that God wants leaders developed in both the home and within the church.
That is our mission, that is why we are here - to develop fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
We pray that God will find us faithful to the task.
